Bach Stradivarius LR180S37 Silver Trumpet W/ Reversed Leadpipe

One of several Strads and Xenos we are offering for sale. This is a Bach Stradivarius model LR180S37 silver Bb trumpet—an upgrade from the standard Strad with the 25LR reversed leadpipe for decreased resistance and greatly improved responsiveness. It is in excellent condition: plating about 99.5% with the lightest wear here and there, and a few extremely small dings which you really have to go looking for. It is a bright, shiny, impressive horn as you can see in the photos. Unlike most trumpets you might be looking at, this one has just been through the shop where it was disassembled, chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, lubed, polished, and had new piston felts and water key cork installed. The stop rod bumper and nuts are included; I just forgot to put them back on before taking the photos. All tuning slides are free including the third valve dump slide which is so often stuck that most people don’t even realize it’s supposed to move. All four tuning slide O-rings are present and in good condition. Valves are fast and smooth and quiet with very little wear and excellent compression. Note that this horn is oiled with SYNTHETIC (Hetman #2) oil, and you should use the same or thoroughly clean the pistons and casings prior to switching to a petroleum-based product. Slide grease is for local pickup only and will not be shipped, but it does include a new ProTec microfiber cloth, a Bach 7C mouthpiece and the classic zippered hard case which is also in very good condition. The perfect horn for marching, concert and select bands, symphony and solo work, and pretty much anything else you can throw at it. S/n 639XXX is far too new for the published lists, but is certainly one of the newest Strads you’ll find on the used market. Our only reversed-leadpipe Stradivarius, in excellent condition at more than $1,500 less than new, and just in time for Christmas!
