Bach Stradivarius LR180S43 Large Bore Silver Trumpet
One of several professional trumpets we are offering for sale. This is a hard-to-find Bach Stradivarius LR180S43 large bore silver trumpet in Bb. It has several upgrades over the standard 37 Strad: reversed 25LR leadpipe for decreased resistance and improved responsiveness, 43 bell for a broad, warm tone with excellent projection, and a large bore for a huge sound if you have the breath control to put into it. It is in excellent condition: plating about 99% with little if any wear, and very small dings and marks left over from past dent removal, mostly along the edge of the bell and along the bell bow as seen in the photos. Photos are limited here, but we're easy to find on eBay and Reverb, though this is our lowest-advertised site. Unlike most of the trumpets you might be looking at, this has just been through the shop where it was disassembled, chem cleaned, detergent cleaned, polished, lubed, and had all new piston felts, tuning slide O-rings, stop rod bumper, and water key cork installed. Valves are smooth and quiet with excellent compression. All tuning slides are free including the third valve dump slide. Comes in a very nice, lightweight but rigid Gator case. A/n 678XXX is far too new for the published lists, but is likely 2015 or so. A great-playing horn that will cut through the orchestra or carry across the marching band field, and hard to find on the used market!
