Fox 450 Advanced Oboe--Partial Overhaul, New KACES Bag!

One of several semi-professional oboes we are offering for sale. This is a Fox 450, s/n 15XXX, 1998. It is in excellent condition: grenadilla lower and bell for exceptional tone and warmth, with a crack-resistance upper for peace of mind and stability. No chips, cracks, repairs or bore damage. Silver plate about 99.5% with little if any wear at all. Full-conservatory keywork including the left F, split D/D# trill, other extra trills, banana key, articulated C#, F-resonance, and low Bb.  While we usually overhaul all our oboes, the upper on this one was actually in such good condition that we did just replaced the tenon cork and made a few minor adjustments to get it to seal perfectly with no leaks. (It actually tests a flat “0” on the leak detector.)  The lower joint and bell were completely disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, hand-polished, and repadded entirely in Ferree’s premium cork pads, including the two largest pads.  Plays delightfully right out of the box on pickup. May need very minor adjustments on delivery depending on how many bumps the FedEx guy hits. Includes a silk swab, the Fox cork grease container, and reed.
