Getzen Eterna 896S Silver 4-Valve Flugelhorn!

 
One of the nicest flugelhorns we have in stock! This is a Getzen 896S four-valve professional flugelhorn in silver. 0.460” bore, 6.5” yellow brass bell, nickel silver valve pistons, Amado water keys. It is very nice condition: silver about 97% with a little wear mostly tucked up in around the fourth valve where it’s not super visible.  Some very small imperfections including a couple minor dings in the bell and some signs of dent removal on the bottom pipe of the bell after the bow, but no significant dents or damage.  As you can see from the photos, it’s a bright, shiny, great-looking horn!  Just through the felts where it was cleaned, lubed, polished, and had all new piston felts installed.  All tuning slides are free, valves are fast and quiet. Note that this is oiled with SYNTHETIC oil, and you must use the same or thoroughly clean the pistons and casings prior to switching to a petroleum-based product. Similar to the more common 895, but that fourth valve lets you play lower, gives you lots of alternate fingerings, and helps fine-tune notes similar to a trigger. (And we have the three-valve and three-valve trigger versions for sale as well!)  Comes in the original hard combo case with plenty of room for your trumpet or stands and accessories, normal wear and writing on the exterior, but in solid condition with a new replacement handle on the side and new ProTec handle cover on the main handle. Plays all smooth and buttery with a gorgeous, mellow tone—a favorite for trumpet doublers, and one of the nicest you’ll find on the used market!
