Kanstul Custom Class 920S 4-Valve Silver Piccolo Trumpet!

One of the nicest piccolo trumpets we have ever offered for sale.  This is a Kanstul Custom Class Model 920S Bb/A 4-valve picc in silver.  It is in exceptional condition:  silver plate around 99%--near perfect other than some scratching around the tip of the Bb leadpipe as seen in the photos.  Just through our shop where it needed almost nothing other than a basic lube and polish.  All tuning slides are free, valves are fast and smooth and quiet with no problems and very little wear at all.  The third-valve stop screw is not shown in the photos but is included.  (I forgot to put it back on before taking the photos.)  ML 0.460” bore, cornet shank leadpipes, hand-hammered, one-piece yellow brass bell, Amado water keys, hand-lapped Monel pistons, and all the other features you’d expect from a pro piccolo by Kanstul.  Compression is excellent, measuring 0.9 on the magnehelic, which interprets as “almost new.”  Plays delightfully—perhaps the easiest transition from trumpet to picc in existence:  open feeling, quickly accessible without struggling to adapt from a Bb trumpet as you do with many other piccolo trumpets.  Includes both leadpipes, mouthpiece, mouthpiece pouch (if you don’t like the flowers, I can swap for black) and a new ProTec microfiber cloth. Valve oil and slide grease are for local pickup only and will not be shipped.  All in the original hard case, but if you’d prefer a double or triple case, or no case at all, please contact us.  This listed at $4,120 several years ago when you could still get one, and they’re getting harder and harder to find.  The perfect alternative for someone who loves the sound and feel of the Schilke P5-4, at about a thousand less!
