Rigoutat RIEC Conservatory Oboe--All Wood, Overhauled!

We are pleased to offer for sale this advanced or semi-professional Rigoutat RIEC oboe. It is in exceptional condition:  Just through the shop where it was disassembled, cleaned, bore oiled, polished, lubed, had new tenon corks installed, and had all new pads installed—Ferree’s premium cork except the three largest which of course are traditional bladder pads.  We sealed two tiny cracks so nicely that you probably would never have known they were there if we weren’t scrupulously honest in our descriptions.  Both are very short and in the best places possible:  the middle socket and bell socket, which are metal-lined, non-weightbearing, and do not affect the instrument in any way other than to save you a couple hundred dollars.  Silver plate about 99.9% with little if any wear at all.  Nicely balanced and regulated, measures less than 0.6 on each joint on the leak detector. Will play perfectly right out of the case if you pick it up locally, may need very minor adjustments if the delivery guy hits too many potholes.  This is a full conservatory with the exception of the split-ring D# trill, and includes bunches of keys not found on beginner and many intermediate oboes:  the low Bb, low Bb vent, F-resonance key, F# key tab, articulated C#, banana key, extra trills and the all-important left F.  Key oil and cork grease are for local pickup only, but it does include a reed case, adjustment screwdriver, cork grease container, new ProTec microfiber cloth, and new silk oboe swab.  Comes in the original hard case in good condition with a stick on the outside, and best of all—a brand-new, $80 weather-resistant case cover with shoulder strap, lots of extra pockets, and tons of swag.  MSRP $5,090.  An exceptional instrument for your advancing student who is outperforming their plastic oboe, and just in time for the new school year!
