Taylor T5z Custom Ebony Guitar W/ MIDI, Graph-Tech Ghost!

Crazy nice, upgraded MIDI 2018 Taylor T5Z Custom 10794 guitar for sale! This guitar was made specifically for a special NAMM event, and is the only one you’ll see like it. Near-mint condition with just the lightest pick scratches which would likely polish out, but I don’t have the guts to try. We did not put new strings on it, as everyone has their favorite. General specs are below, and original customizations can be seen on the included specs sheet including an African ebony top, gorgeous Gold MOP/Cocobolo inlays, antique gold Gotoh 510 precision tuners, ebony bridge pins, and a bone nut and saddle. Additional upgrades to the Taylor ES2 electronics according to the prior owner include a lipstick stacked humbucker adding a lot of warmth and depth,and a GraphTech Ghost Acousti-Phonic pickup (that’s the extra output and extra three knobs you see on the front—volume, tone and mid) which give you a huge boost in range and versatility even beyond what the T5 is already known for. And if you’re wondering what the extra switch is on the front—that’s to the 13-pin hexaphonic connector compatible with Roland and other MIDI systems, guitar synths, and guitar modeling systems. Includes the original Taylor hard case which is also in excellent condition. The nicest, rarest, and most flexible T5z you’ll find, and the only one with a MIDI interface!

From the MF website: This custom T5z #10794 acoustic-electric is one of the stunning custom guitars Taylor displayed at its annual Custom Guitar event at the NAMM show held in Anaheim, California in January 2018. It features a sapele body, mahogany neck, solid African ebony top, ebony fretboard with 12” radius and jumbo frets, 24-7/8” scale length, 1-11/16” nut width, custom fretboard inlay, Gotoh 510 antique gold tuners, and T5 electronics with 5-way switching. This custom T5z #10794 guitar ships in a T5z Deluxe hardshell case made by Taylor for optimal fit and protection.

Taylor's original hollowbody hybrid electric/acoustic T5 family has flourished and grown since the debut of the original T5 in 2005. The game-changing design bridged the electric and acoustic worlds like no other guitar, giving gigging players a dynamic range of amplified acoustic flavors, all in one guitar. The magic is in Taylor's blend of proprietary pickup designs and switching capability. An active soundboard and a magnetic acoustic body sensor capture a natural- sounding acoustic voice, while a pair of electric pickups - a concealed neck humbucker and a visible bridge humbucker - crank out an array of electric sounds. Five-way switching and onboard tone controls enable players to flick from warm jazz to vintage blues to heavy distortion in an instant.
